Oomf/Xeropolis sent out notices three years ago that it is shutting down. That time has come. I no longer can take responsibility for service outages or support delays. Please find another hosting provider. I recommend Inter-Corporate. Services will remain with no guarantees for a short while longer.
You can log into the most basic webmail system (Rainloop) right from this page, above where it says “Read E-mail”. However, if you are the discriminating type, there are three other webmail systems to choose from. To use them, go to:
Choose from SquirrelMail, Horde, and RoundCube. These also allow you to reset your e-mail password.
If you have a Oomf Plus account you have access to the new control panel, powered by cPanel software. This can be set to easy or pro settings. Easy settings give you the basics, and allow you to add and remove e-mail accounts, and make the most basic changes.
The pro settings gives a great deal of control over the PHP version, Span Assassin settings, database configurations and much, much more.
You like the environment, right? You better, you have no choice but to live in it. The new servers are ‘green’ in that carbon credits are purchased to offset any dirty energy used to power the system.
A note about billing:
Your bank statement will still show Xeropolis Networks. Oomf is still in transition, and there is a whole shwack of paperwork left to do for the banks and government.
